Thedeerman
Why not book a few paid days stalking and get confirmation in writing. As I understand, this provides ''good reason'' for having a deer calibre.

Also get on your hand and Knees to your farmer s tell them you need their written permission or you cannot sort their deer out. the only people who can help them at the moment is some one with a open ticket, any way hope this helps

goshawker
i have thought of joining clubs, the only clubs i know of only paper punch so that will mean i will only be able to use the rifle for punching paper and i dont want to have a rifle for that, all land over here has to be checked to see if its suitable for all full bore rifles, it used to be the same with rimfires, land had to be checked.. i have friends in the republic of ireland that have helped me no end, they have taken me stalking and said that i can use their land for applying for a license to allow me to use a rifle in the republic and introduced me to some farmers.. again if any lads can help me out in getting the rifle here in northern ireland it would be greatly apreciated,
