will1992
:( BSA or Weihrauch?? What would you choose and why?? I think BSA's rifles have become poorer quality since Gamo bought them.My dad has got an old BSA Airsporter S and has never had any problems with it.But when i bought a lightning XL the stock cracked and the trigger broke as you may of read in previous posts of mine.I have now got a weihrauch hw80k and have not had any problems, its a great rifle. So what would you choose? Will Hi mate, can you tell me about the BSA hornet cocking mechanism. the two stage thingy sounds tricky? If i knew i would tell you mate but i find it pretty confusing myself I think your best bet is to ask someone thats got experience with that rifle
banditboy
i got a HW80K and cant fault it, it has a tasco scope and thats doing the job gd. so for your answer i would only choose weihrauch!
NickHead
Hi All, I own both, a BSA Ultra .22 and a Weihrauch HW100T .22. Both have their pro's and cons, Weihrauch HW100T is heavy to carry round but an absolute joy to use because it is so silent and accurate and has 120 shots capacity, enough for any foray. The Ultra, very accurate and light, small enough for use from the vehicle but only has a 40 shot capacity ( big enough really for a decent bag ) and the silencer is not as efficient as the Weihrauch. And it is also cheap enough to have as a second rifle. I remove the Weihrauch silencer and place it on the Ultra and it quietens it down quite a bit and makes it a nice stalking implement. I rate then both very highly. I had a go on my mates .177 BSA Lightning XL, and I liked that as well, even though I am more a PCP user, but I could definately go for a BSA Springer.
