Stu74
Hi everyone was out beating today and my spaniel got on a scent in the thick cover and it was a rat and she got hold of it and it bit her. Is there anything I should do about it the guys on the shoot said give her a bit of penicillin when I get home. I cleaned her and put germalene on but it doesn't bother her. I am saying the rat probably bit her but she could have just caught it in the thick cover. Cheers
Red Doe
I used to have a Jack Russell ratter that was always getting bitten but it never bothered her at all. If a bite was bad and bleeding, I'd clean it up, apply a wee drop antiseptic ointment but leave it uncovered. She was always fine (and the best ratter I ever had )
