Description

A rare and beautifully balanced Miroku MK38 Carl Bloxham Special Sporting 12g shotgun. These guns are recognised as one of the nicest sporting target guns on the market and cost in excess of £2,100 new. Marketed by Brierley Guns of the West Midlands, these guns are the result of a collaboration with Carl Bloxham and Nigel Teague. This gun is in very good condition and has lovely oiled walnut woodwork with a 15” LOP and finished with a Kick EEz recoil pad. The gun has 30 inch back bored barrels with mid bead and a selectable trigger. Modifications carried out by Mr Teague under the Bloxham specification include the installation of his excellent long flush thinwall choke system(Gun comes supplied with no fewer than 8 long flush custom chokes, SK, SK, CYL,CYL, ¼, 3/8, ½ and ¾), banana shaped porting(contrary to what you may have heard about porting, Teagues system doesn’t lead to any additional noise due to the unique shape and construction of the ports) as well as lengthened and polished forcing cones. Overall effect is one of an extremely smooth, low-recoil gun with minimal muzzle flip. The gun has not done a lot of work as borne out by the nice tight action. A real delight to own and shoot.
