Spaniel
Took the day off today to relax a little and went up to the lake for a bit of fishing Had a bit of success last weekend on the Blue Damsal fly so thought i would give it ago again. well within half a hour i had this beauty on the fly, quite close in and it stayed under for a while before surfacing. Weighed it at home and it was 2lb.8oz, now in the fridge for tomorrows tea. In total today i caught 5 Rainbows and 1 Brown trout all around the same sort of size but this one had more of a belly on it.... Not bad for a days fly fishing

ack-ack
Good going chap. I've struggled to get much bigger in 20 years of fly thrashing. It would probably help if I went more often.
Spaniel
Had another bash at them today still on the blue damsel fly, was a bit slow to start with but it soon picked up. I caught 3 today, 1st went back as it looked a bit on the lean side, but the 2nd looked alot better and thats tomorrows tea. Got to admit i missed another 6 bites/pulls today but i was happy catching 3. Watching some video of hywal morgan i think i should of speeded up on the retrieve once i missed the original bite, but hey im still learning. But so far i have been out 4 times and i have caught 11 Trout, (10 x rainbows and 1 x Brown), so i must be doing something right at present. I noticed today that it was the slower retrieves which were geeting the bites as apposed to Friday when it seem to be the quicker retrieves which caught them Just need to get the hang of filleting a trout a little better, but im getting there
