neil Posted August 24, 2003 Report Share Posted August 24, 2003 i have a sky digital setup which i use for freeview channels,last week a letter arrived in the post tellng me that from some time on august i will no longer be able to recieve itv ch4 ch5 on my card,the only reasion i got the box was so that i could get channel 5 as i'm in an area tha can not recieve it through an aerial and about once every year they show a good film that i might watch .according to the letter i can get the channels back if i subscribe to a sky package has anyone else had this problem??if so what can be done toget the above channels back Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Globalboy Posted August 27, 2003 Report Share Posted August 27, 2003 Yes you need to apply for a 12month sub because the BBC have stoped paying sky to run the freeview service as they have bought the new digital service. Have you contacted your local installer to check that they cannot get a freeview signal to your house through High Gain Digital Mast ? Even though Sky would only be £9 amonth for the basic channels.
