Spaniel
Been a little manic in work of late, and i managed to get back from Portsmouth at around 5 ish last night, weather forecast was suppose to be heavy rain, but it did not look to bad, so I grabbed my fly gear and headed off to the River Chew. We have signing in books at all our club venues and we also have to enter details of what as been caught. Well I looked at the book and for June it looked quite poor, umm what to do Well I decided to use a Green Dawl Bach, and off i went for a walk. River was a little coloured and running quite well, sent a few casts up stream but nothing was happening. I then moved to another spot and decided to cast down stream, a couple of pulls and bang... I landed my first Rainbow, about 2lb and ready for tea tonight. Seen a couple of flash of silver but nothing else took the fly, but a god evening out
