timmy1146
Just felt i needed to dd this to the never ending debate as to what after market chokes you can use safely in your hatsan escort. I've heard for a few years now that you can put chokes with the beretta mobil thread into your escort and after hearing a few scare stories about barrels buldging and chokes exploding i decided to give an extended choke a miss. But as i was in the states recently i purchased a tru glo extra full ported turkey choke from the pro bass store that had the berett mobil thread. although at first the extended part of the choke didn't sit flsh against the barrel it worked fine with zero problems, explosions or bulges (i've put a wide range through it from no 4 shot to no 9 shot, also tried rapid shooting). But i chucked the choke into the lathe at college so it sat properly on the barrel and still no problems at all, the barrel hasn't budged. A common problem i found with every hatsan choke is that after a few shots it does work loose and the new choke was no exception bt even with gas getting behind the choke it still wasn't damaged in any way and performed as it should. i'll add a pic to show you exactly what the choke is like, the picture were taken before i took it down to sit on the muzzle perfectly.
