new permission!

Headed off to my single permission today for a spot of corvid bashing around the cattle sheds, when I got there the farmer told me his neighbours corn was being hammered, and would I be interested in shooting it?

Erm, yes please!!

Quick phone call by him to his neighbour, I went and met and introduced myself to him and had a chat, I said I would be happy to try and clear a few for him, so we chucked my kit in the back of his landy and he took me to where the birds were!

Nice area of flattened corn in the corner of the field, so set up the hide and within minutes the birds were flighting in on to the area in front.

Steep learning curve currently in process, bagged a fair few but annoyingly missed more and spooked even more before they got in to range. Best bird was one I hit when I was sat on the deck and it came over me about 30y up, impressed myself! Annoyingly all fell in to the corn or in hedges so no photos.

Come lunchtime they had moved away, so called it a day and with other commitments, went back to chat to the owner. He was happy, and said I was welcome to shoot anytime - result!!!

Keep plugging people, perm's will arrive if you keep at it :)
