woodcock1
I have a springer spaniel bitch which is now almost 9 months old. I got her when she was 10 weeks old. She did not have her tail docked and which is now very long. It has very recently become a major problem in that she keeps cutting the tip of her tail which bleeds fairly bad. She hasnt done any hunting yet but for sure it is going to be a major problem when she does. I hunt a lot of heavy cover with my springers. Should I get her tail amputated or are there any other options available?
apache
If there is a non healing tip injury then docking can be clinically justified.
