David BASC Posted September 3, 2012 Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 (edited) BASC Gundog Evening Friday 14th September 2012 The BASC, South East region will be holding a Gundog evening on Friday 14th September 2012. The event will take place within the down land setting of East Dean village hall, East Dean, Nr Eastbourne, East Sussex. Sponsored by Chudleys dog Food, the main part of the evening will be a presentation by qualified vet and gundog enthusiast/ sporting shooter columnist Vicky Payne BMedVet. MRCVS. Vicky, who qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2001, will be talking about a range of matters relating to gundogs and their use in the field. Topics will include typical injuries to look out for during a days shooting, first aid for dogs and dietary needs. This will be followed by a questions and answers session at the end, although audience participation will be encouraged at any stage during the evening. In addition to the above there will be a Q & A session with Kennel Club ‘Panel’ field trial judges on hand throughout the evening to give advice on training. Also present, will be a number of local gundogs clubs; Whilst Beachy Head brewery will be running a bar on the night. Chudleys will be donating some raffle prizes, as well as providing complimentary gift bags for each person attending. The cost of the event will be £3 for BASC members and £5 for non-members.
