ironhorse
Yildiz SP2 ME I bought this gun just on two years ago, until that time I had never shot a 20 gauge, saw this gun advertised liked the look of it, and after checking it out at my local gun shop bought it, I have used this gun regularly over the two years and was very pleased with it, it’s light, well balanced and a nice looking gun too, however over the time of use I noticed that it was becoming more and more difficult to open the gun, at first I put this down to it being a new gun and probably just wearing in, but no it continued to get more difficult to open, and I could feel the mechanism grating when pushing the opening lever, I decided it is time to return the gun to the shop where I bought it and complain, I took the gun apart to give it a clean after its last outing, and while cleaning I noticed on the action where the barrels drop forward they had in fact damaged the metal of the action by cracking the metal the width of the barrels, I returned this gun to the shop where I bought it and pointed out the cracking on the action and problem with the opening , and I was amazed at the comment made by the seller, ( well it’s not a berretta is it) a couple of choice words nearly rang out but I bit my tong. The gun has gone to be accessed.
ironhorse
Update I returned this morning to my local gun shop, I hadn’t gone there to inquire about my Yildiz I had gone to buy 12 gauge cartridges, anyway the owner of the shop was there and he handed me a gun saying they have replaced your gun, Did I hear correctly what did you say, he said they have replaced your gun with a new one. After getting over the shock and doing all the relevant paper work I left the shop with a new 20 gauge Yildiz, which once again proves it pays to complain. Many thanks to my local Gun Shop. hillmouse
You wouldn't get that with a beretta either. Glad it worked out well for you.
