trap guns will always shoot higher than the point of aim. In trap diciplines the target is (normally) going away from the stand. Therefore it makes sense to keep the target in view all of the time hence you will aim below the target keeping it in view all the time. Chokes are normally tight (full or 3/4). The stock comb is usually parrallel to the gun rib.

 

Sporters and game guns usually have a lot flatter point of aim and less choke. This helps judging lead for overhead driven birds.
