Reece
Could someone from BASC please help me with this. I know there are only a few days left to respond to the consultation on the review of wildlife law. I haven't got round to it until now. The whole thing is rather confusing for me. How does the whole process work, and how do I respond to it? I can't make sense of any of it.
David BASC
As you may have found, the main consultation document is here: http://lawcommission.justice.gov.uk/docs/LCCP206_Wildlife_law_consultation_paper_for_web.pdf Towards the begining of the document there is a page on 'How we Consult' which tells you how and where to respond At the very bottom there are a range of proposals, and a series of questions linked to those proposals If any BASC wants to get in touch with us about any of the proposals / questions, please use the feedback form on the BASC web site here: http://www.basc.org.uk/en/media/key_issues.cfm/cid/6D6A9274-8432-4140-89556A47C2F5E865 Best wishes David

Do I answer every one of the provisional proposals and consultation questions, and then send it? Do I have to answer all of them? Also, how do I send my response? Do I make a word document and send it, or do I put it in the body of the email?
David BASC
You do not have to answer all the questions, only the ones you want to, answer them in as clear a way as possible, and make sure you reference in the answer the question you are responding to. In the consultation document there is guidance on exactly how to respnd as I posted above - but here is what it reads: How to respond Send your responses either – By email to: wildlife@lawcommission.gsi.gov.uk OR By post to: Public Law Team (Wildlife), Law Commission, Steel House 11 Tothill Street, London, SW1H 9LJ Tel: 020-3334-0262 / Fax: 020-3334-0201 If you send your comments by post, it would be helpful if, whenever possible, you could send them to us electronically as well (in any commonly used format).
