Devon Fox
Had our first day on the shoot, had a great day, just trying to frighten the birds and get them moving, picking out the sporting shots, they dont like to fly on the first day do they!? Plenty of partridges on the move which is great to see, why do they seem so much harder to hit? Main objective was to catch up with a charlie who who has done some damage to one of our duck ponds, killed 17, and we only counted 37 on one pond where there should have been a fair few more(in the region of 70). Been lamping with the rifle, and we have seen him by the pond but have never got near enough or clear enough to let him have it ..... his days are numbered though,we have a couple of chaps as well as myself with rifles, 1 prowling around in the morning, another during the day, and i am looking in the evenings, so **** law we will nail the *******! Hows everyone else getting on ??
