hi chaps,

i had the Contour and concept on test last night. both in .22!

i would just like to say, what the hell happened to British quality!?

i have shot alot of air rifles in my time, from chinese springers to day states and weihrauchs, but these were by far the worst!

the magazines have an o-ring around them like a HW100 mag or S410 etc mag, but the oring was so big it wouldnt let the head of the pellet pass... thus you have to get another pellet or pen to push the pellets into the mag... no one could of tested these rifles at the factory!

and when cocking and cycling the magazine because of the o-ring around the mag it drags on the probe and makes it extremely stiff and sometimes takes some real effort to cycle...

the grouping wasnt anything to shout about either! minimum 2 inch groups at 30 yards...

pick up the game Brocock!!

Hi,

wow, were they really that bad? Just had a look on BAR and neither of them are cheap rifles either. Did you try different pellets through them? I'm wondering if you used pellets that were slightly oversized, the breech/loading systems are usually designed for 5.5mm so 5.6mm pellets can cause issues...

I bought my Enigma Deluxe about 7 years ago and have had no complaints. That said, the barrel is weihrauch on it and the early plastic/rubber based enigmas were awful from what I hear. I've just had my gun serviced by them and their customer service was good.

Additionally lets remember that its because the British industry was so useless that the 12ftlbs law came into existance in the first place...lol
