Wookie
I popped into Stuart Clay Traps on Saturday to have a look at a new pair of boots and generally browse for a shotgun and saw a couple of ones I could use a second opinion on. If any of the Suffolk shooters are in the Melton area and have the time, can you have a look at the Rizzini they have in their second hand section and let me know what you think? It's got a couple of small dings in the woodwork, but it's got a full set of chokes and feels quite tight. Basically, I'm thinking of treating myself in the new year and that's looking top of the crop right now, even though I was lusting after the new Silver Pigeon with the gorgeous woodwork and the fade/blue metalwork above it. Anyway, before I start wishing I could afford 1600 notes for that gun... Rizzini... Yes. It's got to work for both clays and game, so let me know what you think eh? Cheers, Wookie

Cheers, Wookie Hi Wookie, How much is the Rizzini? I am guessing around the £300 mark. If it feels and looks right, I would suggest that you buy it. A Silver Pigeon may look right, but there is no way it is worth 6 times more when it only does the same job. A friend of mine treated himself to a Silver Pigeon 20b. He can't hit sweet FA with it and has gone back to his Miroku 12g which he is pretty damn good with (hope he doesn't read this!). Good luck
Wookie
Spot on. It's £300.00, but I'm tempted to haggle with it. They had a Lanber in as well, but it felt a bit thin in my hand and the whole thing felt a bit loose. It was also a fixed choke model and, whilst it was £50 cheaper, I think the Rizzini would have been a better buy. I couldn't bring myself to get the unchoked Miroku they had for £150 though.
