Rossi46
Hi all After looking into it I have decided that I want to get some ferrets, I went to a rescue center (I like the idea of re-homing some) and picked out a hob and a jill that I liked. I was warned that the jill liked to bite and sure enough I came out the enclosure with a few cuts on my hands (nothing major). She is only 13 months old so I just wanted to know if with a bit of TLC do you think she might calm down in time. Cheers
Ferretboy111
The answer is yes she will come around.... If she is only a youngster, ie: below 1 they are easier to train than older ones, but i dare say if you handle her every day,,,, bare hands not gloves, n scruff n tap her nose if she nips then she will come around. My advice though if your new to ferrets is get a couple that dont bite!!! Also dont breed, unless u have homes for them. Alex
Rossi46
Cheers alex The hobs had the snip and the jills been spayed so no worries on the babys problem.

Rossi46
I'm sure I will be able to calm her down, it would be nice to give her a good home. Its not her fault she was neglected by the previous owner. Now all I have to do is build them a home so the rescue center can come check it, I'm planning a walk in style run thats 9ft long, 6ft wide and 6ft high with two big hutch's for them to sleep in.
