ROBLATCH Posted March 13, 2007 Report Share Posted March 13, 2007 I HAVE AN EIGHT MONTH OLD COCKER BITCH WHICH I AM HAVING A LITTLE TROUBLE ON STOPPING ON THE RETREIVE.SHE HAS EXCELENT ABILITY AND IS VERY OBEDIENT,THE ONLY PROBLEM BEING IS STOPPING HER ON THE DUMMY UNTIL I ASK HER TO RETREIVE.SHE QUARTERS EXCELENT AND IS SHOWING ALL THE POTENTIAL TO MAKE AN OUTSTANDING GUNDOG. I HAVR TRAINED MY LABRADOR WITH THE SAME TECHNIQUE AS I AM USING NOW AND HE HAS TURNED OUT TO BE SECOND TO NONE (very rarely puts a foot wrong).I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS AS TO STOP HER ON THE RETREIVE,ALL ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. the above was posted on the 26th feb 07 having taken all advice and posts into consideration i am finaly getting there on what i wish my cocker to do. as i said in the previous posts she is very inteligent and can take anything you throw at her. to my shame it was me who was wrong and not her (faye). after only 10 - 20 mins a day i beleive in my oppinion i have cracked what i thought (me personaly) was her only problem getting her to stop at the dummy before retreiving it. thanks for all the advice and posts pics to follow. regards rob Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
