Michael_P
Hi all, first post so apologies in advance if I'm doing something wrong I was just after some social rough shooting to get back into the sport that I used to love when I was younger, I've recently moved back to England after a decent stint in Oz and my shotgun licence has expired (filling in the renewal forms as I text) I love to go beating. And getting stuck in. I'm completely happy not even shooting at this stage, just love being outdoors rain or shine I'm good with dogs, don't moan and I'm happy to walk for hours or be sitting in a hide for just aslong, ideally like to do a bit of pest control and just come along without gun for abit of pigeon/rabbit or vermin shooting then go for a pint or 2 after, looking to meet some new people who love being outdoors as much as I do, I used to be involved in a local rough pheasent shoot 50-100 bird days and everyone chipped in with time and effort and we had two large farms we shot fortnightly, I absoutley loved it, never shot to a high standard just really enjoyed being out. Looking to apply for my licence, insurances etc and get back involved with it all.. If anybody could put me in touch or wouldn't mind me coming along is be more than greatful..., Many thanks Mike (Portsmouth/ fareham area)
huwgullick
Hi Mike Great to see there are some like minded people near me! I am in a similar position (allbeit moved from Derbyshire not Oz so slightly closer to home!) with trying to find somewhere for rough shooting/pest control. I did have a 450 acre farm i used to decoy and lamp over but having moved I am starting from scratch again. Happy to share any opportunities with you that i may get and you are welcome to use my gear if we were to shoot together. Let me know how you get on All the best Huw
