spready
Has anyone tried the 36gr Barnes Varmint grenades for the .22 hornet? I've been given a box to try and cant seem to get the thing to shoot accurately at all , would properly be more accurate throwing them .... lol Im using 11grs H110 powder ,tried seating that the length the magazine would allow me to feed (CZ527) , maybe would get better accuracy just slightly off the lands? any advice would be greatly appreciated
Daveo26
Ive got no experience of these in a hornet but I did use them in my .223 a while back. Iv just asked a similar question re. Loading them in a hornet. And Iv read up a fair bit online "Why do you want to consider the VG bullets? They are reported to be unreliable at slower speeds (which your hornet would be) and tricker to get shooting well given their extra length for their weight." Was the reply I got. I took their advice (thanks casts_by_fly) and didn't try them. Seems your findings back this up, perhaps they are just not suitable ?
