Redm0002
The shoot on Saturday 19/08/17 was attended by just over 20 paying guns. Some regulars were on holiday but again there were a few new faces. There were many positive comments about the welcome and the shoot layout/targets. We have started to see some later arrivals, which is good. It helps to spread out the guns across the ground and reduce waiting time on the stands. £16 for a 60 bird Sporting Clay shoot. £13 for a second round. SGC required. Fibre wad cartridges only, max shot size 7. Rio 28g 8s are available for £4:50 / box of 25. Shoot starts at 12:30, currently last ticket is 16:00. There are 6 Stands offering a variety of targets, using Standard, Midi, Rabbit and Battue clays and are shaped by the features of the scenic ground. Tea and coffee on the ticket. Bacon rolls etc are available for purchase. Ample parking. WC. The sight is best approached from the Harpenden to St Albans Road (A1081) via Beesonend Lane. Follow the Brown Fishery and Black and White Shoot signs down the lane for 1 mile. At the ford turn right and continue along the lane to the site. The short length of ford to drive through is only inches deep. The fishermen that come to the site never have any problems. 13/14 days the site functions as a day ticket fishery for Trout (Lake 1 and R.Ver) and Mixed Coarse Fishery (Lake 2). Want to try fly fishing for trout or coarse fishing for carp, tench, chub, bream, perch, roach and rudd? Taster sessions can be arranged. See the newly updated Redbournbury Fishery and Sporting Clay website and our Facebook page. Quote MultiQuote
