OSBOURNE & CO. HIS SON TOGETHER WITH PARTNERS EXPANDED THE BUSINESS AND BY 1908 WERE OPERATING AS FINE GUNMAKERS OF 10, YORK BUILDINGS, ADELPHI LONDON. THE SHOP CLOSEDE IN 1928. THIS SHOTGUN IS FROM THAT 1908-1928 PERIOD AS CAN BE SEEN FROM THE ADDRESS INSCRIBED ON THE RIB. IT IS A RELATIVELY SIMPLE BOXLOCK BY THEIR STANDARDS BUT THE QUALITY CAN BE ENJOYED IN THE CRISPNESS OF THE ACTION. IT HAS SIMPLE ENGRAVING BUT CARRIES THE FIRMS NAME IN A BANNER AND THE GRAINING IS GOOD ON THE STOCK. THE BORES ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND MOST OF THE BLUEING IS INTACT. THERE ARE A FEWSLIGHT SCRATCHES ON THE STOCK BUT THIS IS AN UNRESTORED GUN IN ORIGINAL CONDITION. IT HAS 30” BARRELS CHOKED FOR DRIVEN GAME AT CYL AND ½ WITH A CONCAVE RIB.
