Sticky trigger on Theoben Fenman

Hi folks,

I have a Fenman which is in fantastic condition. When the rifle is not cocked, you can feel the two stages on the trigger. However, once is cocked; the tigger doesn't move anywhere near as smoothly as it should. Not only that, I have to squeeze the trigger VERY slowly to be able to feel the second stage. I do understand that there will be pressure upon the trigger with regards to sears etc, but it should still have defined stages.

I do not know how to set the trigger. I know that I will have to remove the trigger guard to access a screw or hex bolt but no more. I don't want to go tweaking anything without a little advice.

Does it just need a drop of oil or is it possible that it has been adjusted too much?

Over to you lot!
