DrBob1
Selling my old, but still playable 5-string zither banjo with original case. I've owned it for around 40 years, but never really played it. It's been sat under the bed getting dusty, which is a shame. Now, we're downsizing ,and She Who Must Be Obeyed insists I sell some of my instruments. The banjo was probably made around 1910 by A.O.Windsor of Newhall Street, Birmingham. The metal plate calls it 'The New Windsor Patent Zither Banjo' and the headstock is stamped 'The Windsor Eclipse Model 11'. So, it's probably more than 110 years old, but isn't, as far as I can see, in bad condition (but to be honest I don't know much about banjos). The skin must have been replaced at some time, but everything else looks original. The original case is a lovely design, but is in poor condition and the carrying handle is broken. It all appears to be leatherette covered cardboard. Looking for £350.00 PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS COLLECTION ONLY FROM SOUTH BIRMINGHAM B31
