Robinson bombshell?

I'm researching a book I'm writing using 19th century Canadian references. In the Montreal Gazette from the winter of 1887 they make reference to a Robinson bombshell that was used for the ceremonial attack on the Ice Palace during the Winter Carnival. I'm not sure if this refers to a specific type of projectile from a Robinson bazooka or whatever, but I can't find any other reference to it. I tried googling "Robinson bombshell" and all I get is "Donald Trump" and self proclaimed "black nazi Mark Robinson" lol, not helpful! Anyone on this thread have an idea of what kind of weapon or ammunition this refers to?
