sandersj89
A very very BIG thank you to Sussex Lad for spending the evening at his workshops working on floating the barrel on my HMR. It took longer than we both expected I think. Classic case of a CZ with the fore end touching the barrel on the right hand side. SL gently sanded down the wood, refitted the stock only to find it touching on the left hand side now, tried various combinations of tightening the action screws to no avail so then started sanding the other side of the fore end. Now floating nicely, he then fired up some serious bits of machinery to re lacquer the sanded area, end result is a very pucker professional job and a fully floating barrel. Brian, sorry it took so long but many thanks indeed, I will let you know how the re-zeroing goes, hopefully Saturday. And I hope to see you over Christmas with your AR….
