Wookie
I was out shooting last night, had just shot my second bunny (head shot from about 25m) and was moving on to check what was at the other end of the field. There was nothing out, so I turned around to go and collect the rabbit when I noticed A FSCKING ARROW sticking out of the ground about 5 yards away from where the rabbit was lying and pretty much on the line I took walking from where I shot it to where it was laying. After looking around to see if someone had been taking the **** by sticking it in the ground, I pulled it out of the ground and took it and the rabbits back home. It was about 2" into the ground at about 45 degrees off the vertical and I am not joking when I say I was really upset about it. Basically, some little **** has fired a bow into the air at something and it missed me by a few seconds or a few metres at most. My community policeman has been told about it by my landlord and hopefully he'll be able to get the little **** that fired it for me. I'd like to give them a talking to about where not to shoot. Of course, the wife was more concerned that her horse could have been hit... Wookie
eugene molloy
Wookie, The culprit was a chap called Henry Longfellow; he 'fessed up on this site... Twangg!! As a little boy I was given this as a set piece; even then I reckoned the first two lines were a prima facie case of the irresponsible use of deadly weapons. Well escaped, Eug
Wookie
Cheers! Wee were supposed to have the community plod around that evening, then the next evening, then he never turned up. I am not really sure that this falls into what they would class as urgent for them to deal with. Still, at least I have my health... Nice poen by the way. It's been a while since I've heard it!
