eugene molloy Posted August 6, 2004 Report Share Posted August 6, 2004 It's surprising just how little shot remains in a pigeon after it's been dressed out (I just debreast them). If I do see any shot, then I pick it out at this stage. I debreasted 18 birds last evening and I don't think any shot remained in any of the meat. It seems to wind up in the guts. Just occasionally you might get "a chewy bit" when you are eating them, but not often.
