Robbo100
I am looking to purchase a night vision device but find it really difficult to discover what's good and what's not. Does any-one out there have any recommendations on what works for them? Is a £300 pound device worth buying over a £100 one? What ranges can one expect? I want at least 100 yards Does the single LED most of these units have work? Do more powerful LED's make a big difference? What about IR torches ..lamps etc. There are massive hikes in price above Generation 1 units. What's the big difference? I hear that £3,500+ will get you a Kite image intensifier. Does any-one have one and what are his experiences with it? Really what I am after is a little bit of user knowledge here.
JohnGalway
If you're wanting a minimum of 100 yards I'd suggest upping your budget Also do your homework well, it's a minefield, and an expensive one at that. The Airgun BBS has a dedicated nightvision section that's good.
Robbo100
Like medicine and politics; a little knowledge does more harm than good. What do supermarket trolleys and MP's have in common? Both have a mind of their own
