Badger Bob
I took my old .22 BSA Mercury to Otmoors gun shop today to have it looked over as it has been up in the loft for a long while. No problem he said new spring, washers etc £75 and it will be like new. Great I said thinking how many rabbits will meet there end with this rifle. Then the dream went pop.Hang on a minute he said lets check the barrel it does not look right.I was right he said the barrels bent. With a new barrel it would not be cost efective as I could buy a new BSA Supersport for £175. Its ok saying buy a new rifle but money is tight at the moment and I know nothing about the BSA Supersport at all so I said I will think about it.So what do I do now save some more money and get the BSA Supersport Or try and get a decent secondhand gun? I still have not looked for anywhere to shoot yet as I was waiting to find out about the Mercury.I realy want to start up again but I am so gutted that I do not know what to do now. Sorry about the sob story but I had to tell someone.Bob
Vagabond
Don't worry it's not that bad! At least now you can shoot around corners
