TonyTheBubble
i have a supersport - great gun. super reliable. won't cycle 24gm loads, but i've been told action is very tight when new, and after some use it will loosen and cycle 24gm loads. benelli though don't recommend less than 28gm. first time i used it it jammed quite regularly, but i cleaned & oiled the action when i got home and it hasn't jamed since - with 28gm loads. 24gm loads still won't cycle reliably. put 150 rounds through it in an hour at a sporting clay range without a single jam. have read many complaints that benellis kick, but i was only wearing fairly light clothing - no shoulder padding, and only had slight reddening to the shoulder after 150 shots. one time i put - i think - 100 rounds through in about an hour wearing only a t-shirt, and only had very light bruising to the shoulder. no pain at all - nothing to worry about. maybe it's worse with hunting loads, but the people who complain seem to say that it won't cycle the light target loads, and with the heavier loads it kicks. well it cycles 28gm perfectly and doesn't kick enough to even start complaining about. and i can't see you putting 150 rounds through it on a hunting trip! i was getting serious bruising to my shoulder after maybe 6 to 10 shots - over 3 to 4 hours - from my dads old baikal side-by-side ("the mule"). great gun - reliable, simple to clean, light, and looks very sexy! couldn't be happier.
