tom_0787
A breader I have come accross has a litter of chocolate labs bred from working stock. Breeders name is Jacqui Barron and I've been told shes quite well regarded in working trials circles. She breeds collies, basset hounds and labs each under a different affix. Both parents hip/elbow/eye scores are very good. The sire is Harvey from threevalleys and is a proven worker. Does anyone have any tips on picking a pup with regards to finding the best suited to retrieving? Should i see if they show any interest in retrieving a ball or toy? Would they have this instinct at 6 weeks? I will have pick of the litter Sorry for all the questions, just want to have the best chance possible of training up a half decent gundog for pigeon and rabbit shooting!
