Country Boy
The weekends weather conditions meant that whilst the birds turned up some members did not. Pigeons in that part of N.Yorks proved to be very testing targets and I fired about 80 cartridges altogether, getting well into double figures(of birds) before 11.00am. Shortly after midday I could only watch a strong flightline making for other oilseed fields, maybe a couple of k's away, where I had thought other members should have been pitched up but clearly had'nt. However as I was pondering my fate, the birds came trickling back into my pattern and I finished up cold, damp but happy with the 58 birds that my Lab picked! I'll be going out regular from now on. :}
