flying cyril
Hello. I recently bought a 1960's BSA Airsporter Mk2 which came with a telescopic sight and a broken rear open sight. As I prefer open sights for shooting Gold Label barley wine cans in my back garden I decided to have a go at repairing the broken sight. I managed to do it ok, but it isn't right, I realised when I fitted it that there should be a spring at the front to push the sight back when it is lowered. The front section in front of the pivot pin was missing so I didn't have any idea what it should look like, I just copied what I had. So i'll be making another one. Could someone out there please supply me with a photo/drawing/dimensions so that I know what the front end looks like in front of the pivot. This will be a great help. I might even make a small batch of them. Once I've got the prototype made it would be easy to write a program for the CNC mill at work and I've got enough billet aluminium to make a small batch.
