benjyman
Hi guys, new to the forum. I've got a BSA mercury and just bought a BSA meteor which is currently in bits needing a bit of TLC. Been shooting at targets in the garden for a while and have one pigeon under my belt as it landed next to my target between shots (natural selection at its best i say). I want to get my own permission, but i'm very wary of knocking on a farmer's door and him asking where else i shoot/ have i got this piece of kit/ using some shooting speak at me and not having a clue what he's on about. From the farmer's point of view as well i wouldn't be too willing to let some 19 yo with no experience at all walk around my farm shooting. I'm looking for someone in the Essex area (i live in billericay, but can travel) to give me a few pointers at their shoot so i can ask for permission with more confidence. I will of course repay the favour when i've got my own. As said above, i'm 19 years old and at university doing an engineering degree and very mature. Thanks alot guys.
