bamboo0099
Hello. I have been reading the posts for sometime, and now I have joined. I am looking for any kind of shooting in Norfolk, North Norfolk would be ideal, but I am happy to travel. Ideal day for me is a Saturday. Rough shooting would maybe be best, but if someone wants to show a newcomer the art of decoying etc, that would be great! I have done an amount of clay shooting but would like to get out and about more.... Any advice on where or how to secure some land would be great! Thanks in advance. bamboo0099
Well. I sent out a few letters after having a good ring round. Yesterday I received a call from a gentleman who has a farm 2.5 miles from my house. I have just retruned from walking around his land and have gained as much shooting as I want. His land is "not big", his description not mine, to me it looked huge! To walk the entire way around I would say would take 3 hours minimum. He grows peas in the spring and has said he would like a commitment to him for just a few hours a week. I have agreed! The fella was a gentleman, and he has said he has been let down many times before by others promissing to help! I find that incredible, and to think, I was about to start paying for shooting. I also have permission to take my Welsh Springer a long, and my young son is welcome also in the hide. So, if you have not got yours land yet, keep your chin up and dont give up. Just be polite. I feel like a kid on Xmas eve! My land is on North Norfolk.
