It's here again ! Shepreths nasty one ! :D

Shepreth Airgun Club are holding their infamous 'Winter Diabolical’ HFT shoot on Sunday 18th. January.

A 30 target / 30 peg course definitely NOT to UKAHFT Rules ! A mixture of interesting shots, a few over the usual 45 yards and 3 or 4 novelty ones. Designed to challenge even the best of shooters… Yet shootable by all...

Everyone is welcome, members and visitors alike. Juniors must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 21.

Were easy to find, either coming down from Cambridge / M11 turn off at Harston junction and head towards Royston. Or coming up from Royston take the Cambridge road. Shepreth is well signposted, head into the village and find the railway station. Head out of the village over the railway crossing past the station and about 400 yds it's the first farm on the left (Brook Farm)...

Drive along to the end of the dirt track to find the club. Please keep your speed below 15 mph within the farm !

Sunday 10 am latest book in for a 10:30 am start. Zeroing range is open from about 9 am to set up.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Open class, Recoiling, .22 and Junior.

Entry Fee : £6.00 (includes bonus bunny)

Tea, coffee, soft drinks and hot food at excellent prices from our fantastic catering crew...

Be warned… This year will be as tough as ever. One person managed to get 50 last year out of 60 Just to give you an idea of the difficulty :welcomeani:

See ya there...

Sounds like a good day out to me.. although I've never taken part in anything like this.. and it's 2 hrs away..! :good:

Well if you could make it over I'll guarantee you'd have a brilliant day. Plenty of experienced shooters at the club to show you the ropes so don't worry about never having shot HFT before.

  • 2 weeks later...

What are people doing about charging bottles for the comp? As I don't have a compressed gas sticker for the car yet and am a little worried about taking the bottle in the car (2.5hrs away) incase something happens that would mean I would prefer for there to be a sticker on there...

Any suggestions?

Thanks

No need for a sticker as far as i was aware unless it's commercial use... No one i know of at our club or any other club I can think of has one on their car.

Ahh ok, well when I brought up the whole sticker thing when I joined the forum, I think some people were saying that for the diving bottles you may want the stickers incase you had an accident and so the emergency services knew that there was a bottle of compressed air in the car that could go BOOOOM  at any moment (if it's on fire... :good: )

Just got back from the event (total driving time 4.5hrs!! ) A huge thanks to everyone who arranged the event I had a great time and was well chuffed with getting a round of 29/60 and finishing 3rd in the .22 class!:yes: (especially as it was my first ever HFT)

Also thanks to the guys who helped me sort out what I was meant to be doing at the beginning on the plinking range, and those who went round with me.

Can't wait to do some more HFT and go back for next years event!

Thanks again.
