studlee
Hi gentlemen.....and ladies I have got a BSA Lightning XL .22 and thanks to lightningxlDAZ suggested a bit of a tune would do the rifle the world of good!? The rifle is a little springy and got it tested and its shooting at 10.25 ft lb's at the max.....the gun makers said he would not alter the spring etc as he thinks that is ample and altering it would take it over 12 ft lb's?? . I was not looking for loads more power just less springy and noisy..... So now looking for someone who does this and how much it costs? I would rather a shop of someone with heaps of experience? Anyone know of anyone?
airssassin
Get a gas ram! They reduce noise, recoil and you'll be right up to the legal limit. I had one in my xl and it transformed it. If you want more opinions, have a look on www.reviewcentre.com as there are LOADS of reviews for this rifle with and without the ram. SNAKEBITE
I would keep it as it is, the noise would not be noticable 30yds away where the rabbit is anyway! Save the money and upgrade.
Disco Stu
It may be worth sending Bonnie & Clyde (Dave) an e mail Dave @ shotmaster to see if he can work his magic on your springer.
SNAKEBITE
The XL's are brilliant guns anyway, no need to mess them around!
