Orkney Gun
I have just replied to another post in Re: shooting matters. .Where the poster reports that some other shooters were trying to take the permission rights off him (Trying) to convince the farmer/owner that they could do better and give him better protection from pigeon damage... As a Head keeper for a large estate I realise that some tennant farmer/owner farmers are allowed and do give such authority to shoot. Most readers adhere do this way. BUT I WONDER if anyone has come across a simular story as that reported in Re: shooting matters on these pages.Have you been hi-jacked or has there been an attempt to get your permision TAKEN FROM YOU..by persuading the owner/farmer to dispense with you and have them do it... ANYONE ?
ShropshireJohn
The main trick here is to treat the farmer as your friend (Something I'm always happy to do) If your pally enough with him he's not going to be handing the shooting over to someone else. If he does.. then its not somewhere I'd want to be shooting anyhow!
