I believe this is a first edition - inside states 'First published 1990'. Hardback book published by Batsford, complete with dustjacket. Generally quite good condition* - there is a small rip and fold in the dustjacket on the front cover, and some thoughtful soul has once scribbled a phone number in pencil on the inside fly - just a light impression remains, you can't see anything unless you hold it at an angle to the light.
