BaikalsRule90
if a semi auto is fussy about cartridges what is it that makes them jam or fail to cycle, is it the weight of the cartridge or the lengh, or both (or anything else i may have missed). Guest topshot_2k
Gas autos rely on certain amount of gases taken from the barrel to actiavte the reloading mechanism. If you use a light, clean burning cartridge there may not be sufficient gas to operate the mechanism so it jams. Benellis us a different system but it still relies on a the cartridge for producing the force to chamber the next cartridge. Modern autos are a lot better design now and should cycle 28g+ and some 24g cartridges
