I'm no squeamish prude but I found that video quite appalling. There are several reasons why feeding live prey isn't a good idea (unless of course you have no other option - some snakes will flatly refuse anything else) the main ones being: 1) Animal welfare, of both animals! - live prey bite back. Reptiles are particularly prone to abscesses from puncture wounds - why risk it when it isn't necessary? 2) Safety. When you read about large constrictors killing their owners two things always stand out. a. They are almost always live fed and b. The owners are invariably retards. That guy is teaching that snake that food is something that comes from the end of his arm, that is waved about and that it must be grabbed! Then there is the complete lack of respect for both predator and prey, turning it into some side show in front of a baying mob. Shocking.
