asap
There is a small clay shoot tomorrow at a little village called Hamerton ,just off the a1m in between huntingdon and peterborough. Its at a friends farm for charity with the stand spaced out so its a nice walk around and then theres some random stand as an extra if you wish to have ago. Last year was a good afternoon . It starts about half 12 and i think its about 40 or 50 bird ,bbq and drinks. Its worth having a look if your local and you can follow signs for hamerton wildlife zoo to get there
Wookie
I think I'm going to be going, but I'm not sure. Basically, I got told there was a clay shoot somewhere near Huntingdon and that I should be ready to go for 12. If it is the same place, look out for the tall bloke with the butchered-stock Silver Pigeon.
Wookie
It was the same shoot as I thought it would be. Managed a 38x50 on the main shoot thanks to a cold start on stand 1 and two shoddy mounts on the last stand, but still shot above my average. I personally think it was a good setup. Managed to get a 7x10 on the pool shoot afterwards and myate and I both agreed that we should have started on the pool shoot beforehand to get warmed up. Mind you, he got a 9x10 and was top of the leaderboard when we left. I enjoyed it, and got a nice warm glow from doing my bit for charity too! asap
Glad you liked it mate ,i did fairly appalling on the clay round 26/50 probably due to the farm owner taking the wee wee and generally being silly but i also managed 7 on the random and my made was leading with 8 until your mate did better.
Wookie
I'll tell him that when I next see him! I'm definitely up for the next one though. Combining clay shooting with charity is a winning combination as far as I am concerned.
