problem after walk

i took the 3 labs out for there last walk tonight,we walked the usual route around the farmers field then passed the chicken farm,around his hay meadow then up along the final field with a wheat crop planted.everything was fine until we got to the end of the fields where i put the dogs back on thier leads.nico my chocolate male lab started to rub his eye with his paws and then rub it along the ground and you could see he was'nt very happy.when we got home i looked in his eye but could see nothing,but he was clearly in discomfort,so we put some clear eye in his eye and left him for 15 minutes.

i came out and looked at him again,his eye was now closed,nose was warm and he did not want to come out from his bed.eventually i got him out and gave him some piriton for any allergy and then with luke warm water flushed his eye out he shook his head a couple of times and blinked away and then out shot a piece of stalk from something off the fields.

this dog tries my patience more than the mrs,kids and work put together,he will do things when he wants and at his pace and although ive even told him im selling him to the gypsy's he drives me mad but boy was i pleased tonight when that piece of stalk came out and he was a changed dog back to his loving and playful self,and all he wants to do is sit with you and play or be cuddled,some big scary dog eh,but i would not swop him for the world.
