M ROBSON
It turned into a nice evening last night, apart from the moderate easterly, so I decided to go for a walk around one of our farms with the .22rf. I finished up stalking rabbits along between a strip wood and some of our game crop where I spotted a Roe doe. It's the same doe that has come to that wood to have her young for the last 4 years in a row, she has a small white diamond patch above her nose. I sat watching her 40 yards away for about 20 minutes before she sussed me out. Last year she had twins and I sat watching her with her young fawns at that very same spot. A very enjoyable evening. Mark.
stirky
Sounds like you had a nice evening out, ive been out stalking this week but not seen any does with fawns yet but it wont be long. Sat watching a doe with a big fat belly trying to reach round to clean off some hair that must have been itchy due to the moult, it was obviously straining her to reach it. I would have thought she would drop her fawn or fawns very soon. Also soptted a buck it looked like a four or maybe a five pointer in the plantation hope it wont be too long before i get a good look at him,, through my scope.
