Spr1ng3r
No, I'm not after information on how to adjust power. Before anyone gets excited Rapid's need a whole lot more to reach eyebrow-raising power levels than I am asking about here. I have mine set at just over 33 FPE with .22 Bisley Magnum pellets. I have heard of, but not yet seen, an after-market power adjuster for the Rapid, that takes the place of the 1,2,3,4 allen key adjuster on the back of the Mk1 block.. Does anyone have any idea of what sort of range of DOWNWARD adjustment this will have ? I am wondering whether this will give me an easy option to throttle mine back for use in and around barns, instead of having to take a sub 12 FPE rifle out as well as the Rapid. I'm thinking nowhere near enough, but I have to ask. Edited January 31, 2016 by Spr1ng3r
fieldwanderer
I've heard the screw will allow about 5ft.lbs variation but you may well find it shoots like a sack'o'**** if you adjust it much. Seems to me that there's several parts that need to be kinda "in sync" with each other or they don't shoot well at all
Spr1ng3r
Thanks - your reply echoes my own thoughts. How any adjuster can overcome porting and valve/spring setup is beyond me. Looks like it's still a 2 rifle trip then...
