  1. No, no tradesmen, sexy or otherwise. All was quiet on the western front, until the night I took daughter and pooch away...
  2. Many thanks for the offer LG; the gesture is very much appreciated. I am in no fettle for shooting at the moment until I get stuff sorted out here but I really do appreciate the thought The local RFDs have been made aware and I have posted these details on several forums now so, you never know... They said more or less what you just did. They suggested someone with line of sight to my home is either directly responsible or is passing the information on to those who committed the crime. Makes you wonder who you say hello to every week that might have done it :(
  3. Items were in a concrete outbuilding next to my house in Northumberland, with a five lever door lock, three hasps, two steel bars across the door on eye bolts, and 5 padlocks in total. The night it was done I went away with my daughter for the weekend, and got a call the following (Friday) morning that the doorlocks were gone, the door frame had been jemmied, the door was open and the back gate was swinging open. Mine was the only property burgled in the village that night, so it looks like someone has been watching my movements and that they knew what they were coming for and how to deal with the security I had in place. Not a happy bunny about it :(
  4. Last week 4 air rifles, several scopes and assorted fishing and shooting gear was stolen from me. Items of particular interest are: Weihrauch HW95 in .20 - Venom tuned, unusual serial 1810416 -DE (top one in this picture): Weihrauch HW99s in .177 - Serial 2005612 (bottom one in the above picture). Theoben Sirocco in .22 - Early example 7xx serial: Logun Gladiator in .22: Scopes included: Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50 BDC Leupold VX2 Euro 3-9x50 Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 1.75-5x32 Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 1.75-5x32 A pair of Century Kompressor SS fishing rods, an Akios 757 multiplier reel and other stuff also taken. The guns are quite unusual and distinctive. The HW95 has the remains of the 'kissing cobra' Venom sticker on the cylinder from when it went to Venom many years ago, the barrel is from an HW80 in .20 calibre and is stamped with an odd (for the UK) serial number: 1810416 -DE. It has been heavily worked on, shoots like a tuned rifle should with a lightened piston, Venom piston seal, non-standard mainspring and a bunch of other mods, and the stock has been rubbed back, stained and oiled, so it is certainly not your average out-of-the box 95. The HW99s is in .177 but with a shortened barrel, custom Delrin silencer (small crack in the Delrin on the underneath) and the cocking linkage pivot is a poor fit (I had a replacement on order). The Theoben Sirocco is an early 7xx serial example with a nicely figured Walnut stock and some marks on the silencer and cylinder from its previous owner and 30+ years of use. The Logun Gladiator was in pieces in a gun bag, but all the bits were there to build it back up. The stock retaining bolt was too long after having the block helicoiled, and needed sizing to get the whole thing built back up, and there was a spare transfer port and hammer in the gun bag side pouch. The Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC and a SAK moderator were in the same bag. What is unusual about this gun is that the barrel was originally machined out of an HW80 block and recently turned to get rid of the foresight grooves and marks at the breech end. If you look closely at the front end of the barrel you can still see two fine lines where the original foresight used to be when it was still on an HW80, In the unlikely event that anyone hears anything, I would be very grateful for a heads up. Thanks for looking.
  5. Thanks - your reply echoes my own thoughts. How any adjuster can overcome porting and valve/spring setup is beyond me. Looks like it's still a 2 rifle trip then...
  6. No, I'm not after information on how to adjust power. Before anyone gets excited Rapid's need a whole lot more to reach eyebrow-raising power levels than I am asking about here. I have mine set at just over 33 FPE with .22 Bisley Magnum pellets. I have heard of, but not yet seen, an after-market power adjuster for the Rapid, that takes the place of the 1,2,3,4 allen key adjuster on the back of the Mk1 block.. Does anyone have any idea of what sort of range of DOWNWARD adjustment this will have ? I am wondering whether this will give me an easy option to throttle mine back for use in and around barns, instead of having to take a sub 12 FPE rifle out as well as the Rapid. I'm thinking nowhere near enough, but I have to ask.
  7. I'll take the remaining UBACS if it's still there - if Mek changes his mind, I'll take the two PM inbound.
  8. Scope now withdrawn for sale elsewhere. Thanks for looking
  9. Back to the top one last time then withdrawn for sale elsewhere
  10. As above, I have a BNIB Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40 scope with Circle-X ret surplus to requirements. Product code 733961 These are outstanding scopes - on a level with Bushnell Legends unless you crank the mag right up in poor light, which is where the Legends are stronger. Original box and all paperwork included - all I did when I bought it was unpack it and put it away after checking it over - it has never seen mounts. Cost me £170 at the beginning of the year, Uttings have them on sale at the moment for £120 plus delivery, and it's been in my cabinet since I bought it. Easy to reparallax to air rifle ranges if you want to. Details on Uttings website http://www.uttings.co.uk/p107756-bushnell-trophy-xlt-3-9x40-riflescope/#.UmfLyZTk-gm or Bushnell's http://www.bushnell.com/all-products/rifle-scopes/trophy-xlt/3-9x-40mm-matte-black-circle-x-reticle These are pin sharp, very bright scopes that work well in low light conditions. I bought the Multi-X (recently sold on here ) the Circle-X and Mil Dot versions because I couldn't decide which one to keep - then I went with a Bushnell Legend instead Both the Multi-X and Circle-X are noticeably brighter and sharper than the mild dot - the Circle-X is very popular in America with deer hunters. The Circle-X is a very useful ret - it can help you to quickly 'bracket' a target area and the edges of the Circle-X can be used as aim points where they meet and bisect the cross hairs, effectively giving you one mil dot up, down, left and right. All Bushnell Trophy XLT scopes come with Butler Creek flip up covers and, as previously stated, all original packaging and paperwork is included. Asking £100 including tracked, insured and signed for delivery - scope it totally unused and never been mounted. Collection possible from north Tyneside or possibly Berwick upon Tweed areas, by prior arrangement. Pictures available if required. Thanks for looking
  11. Cheers bud I bought the Multi-X, the Circle-X and the mil dot version of the same scope, and then went with a 5-15x40 Bushnell Legend instead It's a mistake any fool can make, and I did

  13. I have a Hawke Panorama EV 3-9x50 IR half mil dot ret with Sportsmatch two piece mounts for sale. It is a non AO model but I have re-parallaxed it to around 35 yards (for my eyes). Brand new battery fitted for the illuminated half mil dot ret. Bought it off the BBS a couple of months ago - I just can't get along with the ret so I won't be using it on any of my guns. I prefer standard mil dot, MAP6 or BDC A couple of tiny marks on the body but glass is spot on. Link to image: http://ubuntuone.com/01X1dEjus3QS9Sge6Ppxap No offers, no swaps - if it doesn't sell I'll give it to one of my mates or it will go on eBay; I'd rather give it away than give it away Collection in person welcome by prior arrangement from the Whitley Bay or Berwick upon Tweed areas (I alternate between both locations every few days). £85 including the mounts and insured, tracked delivery. Thanks for looking.
