Bore Snake Review

I've been meaning to do this for a while, but eventually pulled my finger out and took a few photos to support a review of Bore Snake gun cleaner.

1) Squirt of gun cleaner up the bore (cleaning an auto in the pictures):

2) 2 pieces of scrunched up loo roll to take the thick out:

3) Repeat steps 1) & 2)

4) 2 passes with the bore snake:

5) And now to see how effective the bore snake is :good: 1/4 of a piece of kitchen roll wrapped around a dry mop:

6) The results of the first pass:

7) Repeated with a clean piece of kitchen roll - 2nd pass:

So in my opinion, Bore Snakes may be ok for a quick pull through in the field, but they aren't a shortcut to proper gun cleaning. Others may disagree though...
