  1. ohh, that makes it alot easier then thankyou Alex. And yes there is a genuine need for them as several of the farms where we shoot are ideal for lamping and rifle shooting rabbits/foxes, a shotgun is good but once you start firing the majority of the rabbits go to ground so a rifles will give us more chance of managing them. Thanks for the advice lads !
  2. Hi, i've been shooting with my dad for a number of years with shotguns but now he has decided he wants to get into rifle shooting. I've looked into it a little bit and know that you have to put down every single thing (e.g scope, silencer, mag clip) for each type of rifle you want and what you intend to use it for. My question is what is the best selection of calibres to cover pest control, with an option of going into stalking? Any info will be appreciated Jamie

  4. ive done that a few times but the amount that come up is unbelievable and i really dont have a clue what to get flocked, un-flocked, shell, fullbodied, shells with wobblers thers hundreds just would like to no which are effective and reasonably priced
  5. After doing quite a bit of pigeon shooting lately along a flightline, I am wanting to get into decoying but do not no which decoys to buy. Was thinkin of gettin around 10-20 for christmas so if anybody can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated cheers, Jamie

  7. sorry to hear that mate same happend to me about a month ago one the night she was fine the next day she was on the bottom floor dead and i was the same as you absolutely gutted still think about her today. I have just one hob left and he seems fine living by himself JAMIE
  8. when you get them dont get to attached or you will be distraught when they die mate just like me
  9. woke up this morning went out to get my mams washing in and seen her laid there in the bottom of the hutch dead absolutely distraught
  10. My ferrets (one jill one vasectomised hob) live out side but i treat them as pets I handle and play with them in the garden every night they are very tame (but i got bit for my first time last night).They don't smell if i keep them well cleaned out and change water everyday never had a problem with bolting rabbits though.If i was allowed i would keep mine in the house.   11. Can't wait for the half term holiday just finished my SATs and am going on a 1 week working holiday on a shoot down near loughborough.. Met the Gamekeeper a couple of weeks ago as it is the woman over the roads dad and he thought I was genuinely interested so its off for a week of hard work.Can't wait to pack my bags and head off into the wilderness JAMIE
  12. Went out shooting on sunday on some local land on a morning goose flight we arrived and set off up the field put out 5 or 6 deeks and then the geese started coming only got 1 out or around 7/8 skeens but they were fast although low so i must be doing something right

  14. As i am new to pigeon decoying i would like to know were you can pick up a quite cheap good pigeon magnet?Any info would be much appreciated
